ReVIVE Solar ReStore XL+ Restores Faith in Solar

I have been using solar chargers and solar battery backups for about five years and have generally found their performance inconsistent at best.  In October of 2011 when a freak snowstorm left my home  powerless for eight days I pulled out every solar gadget I could find to keep my smartphone, tablet, and laptop powered up.  As a rule the larger solar panels that fed into an inverter did fine, but most of the smaller devices failed miserably.  Now, Accessory Power has upgraded the top end of its Solar Restore Line with a 6000 mAh battery.  The company claims that’s enough to recharge your smartphone seven times over.  But, as with almost any solar power battery backup, Accessory recommends that you plug it into a wall to get that first charge built up before you hit the trail (6 – 8 hours for a full charge).
