FreePriceAlerts – The Value of Perfect Information
Imagine being able to go shopping and knowing with near certainty that you’ve found the lowest price for whatever it is you’re looking for. Well, now there’s a service that beats the information on Google’s Shopping service hands down. FreePriceAlerts is an app that runs on either your desktop or on an iOS mobile device. An Android versdion is under development. It downloads directly into your browser and alerts you if you can get a better deal – every time you shop. The company that makes the app claims this holiday season shoppers can save an average of $26 on each purchase. The FreePriceAlerts service automatically alerts web surfers to potential savings while they are shopping the sites they normally visit. When consumers visit their favorite online retailers, the FreePriceAlerts engine generates an alert if it finds the product at a lower price elsewhere, letting shoppers know how much they can save, and providing a direct link for purchasing the item at the lower cost. If the shopper has found the lowest price, it confirms it with a green check mark.
Tens of thousands of leading retailers work with FreePriceAlerts, including Amazon, Macy’s, Home Depot, BestBuy, Target, Sears and Walmart. The service generates an alert every four seconds, saving consumers money on everything they buy online – from toys and games to electronics and home goods.
